New hair cut...

Everyone who knows Lindsey knows that she HATES to have her hair done. So I decided to cut it short again. She LOVES her new hair. I love it because it is so easy! She takes after her momma & will probably have short hair forever. Bryan didn't want me to cut it but he likes it now. This is Linds this morning waiting for the bus to come. All smiles excited to show her bus driver & friends at school her new hair!

(The back...I think I did pretty good for not going to school!)

This is just a funny picture of our CRAZY kiddo....Sadie! She is such a NUT!! She keeps us on our toes & laughing the whole time. She has Kelsey's sun glasses on & she thought she was pretty HOT STUFF!!!

Zeppelin....

Saturday August 21st we took Zeppelin to his new family. This was a VERY hard thing for us to do. He was a part of our family for 3 years, but neither Bryan or myself had enough time for him. He was such an AWESOME dog! We miss him dearly, but he is in a good home with other doggy friends & 3 little boys to play with him. These are just a few pictures of the girls helping dad give Zep a bath before Bryan & I took him to Sioux City to meet his new family.
This is Zep giving me a love! He was such a mommas boy. He would always jump up on me & lick my face & it was like he was giving me a hug. (Makes me tear up just thinking about it, but he is in a good home with people who LOVE him & can take really good care of him!)
Bryan Bathing his boy!
The girls got in their suits & helped daddy give him a bath.
Our boy! Man we miss him!
Kelsey & Linds saying goodbye.
After saying goodbye to Zeppelin Bryan & I stopped at the River Boat Casino & ate away our sadness with some yummy food.
(We had to keep the sunglasses on cause we had red eyes from crying...at least I did.)

We were so lucky to have had Zep for 3 good years. We loved having him in our family. The move to Nebraska took a lot out of us & with the Winter here being what they are he needed to be in a better home. Bryan works so much & it was just a lot to take care of & the poor boy spent too much time on a chain. In Arizona we had enough room that he could RUN free all day! Anyone who knows Zep KNOWS that he LOVES to run! We were very blessed to find a good family for him & they said we can come see him anytime. Which I think we might have to since we miss him SO MUCH!!!

1st Day of School....

BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!! Today was the 1st day of school. Lindsey went back to pre-school for her speech class & gets to ride the bus & Kelsey started her 1st day of Kindergarten!!! My babies are getting SO BIG!!!
I can hardly believe that Kelsey is in school ALL DAY! They were both so excited to leave that they woke up bright & early at 6 a.m. & were all dressed & ready by 7. Kelsey waited for our neighbor, who she walks with, for 45 min. Just waiting by the door. Lindsey did about the same thing but she waited for over an hour by the front door & then once she saw her bus she bolted for the door. Sprinting to the bus yelling "by mom...be safe & have a good day!" She was so dang cute! I hope they both have a great day.

Showing off their new back packs. Lindsey had to have a princess one.....
...& Kelsey wanted a Hello Kitty one.
Here is Lindsey RUNNING to the bus.

Getting on the bus & meeting her new bus driver. I almost cried watching her drive away. That part was hard last year too!

Beating the Summer HEAT....

I forgot to take pictures of them playing outside in the water but here they are cooling down before bed eating a Popsicle. (check out the sewing mess in the back...hehehe)
The heat is different here than it is in Arizona. In Arizona it is just HOTTER THAN HECK here it is HOT & HUMID!!! This day was particularly bad. But we have really learned to like the humidity...all though my hair sure doesn't!!

Oh man this kid is a complete crack up!!! She just keeps us laughing all the time!! She HAD to wear this headband & would FREAK if anyone took it off of her!! I wish they could stay this age FOREVER!!! I mean LOOK at that face how could you NOT laugh!!!

Aprons...

All who know me know that I LOVE to sew...well craft period...simply because I am WAY too cheap to pay for something I know that I can make myself for a fraction of the price. I also LOVE a challenge. Well this was my new obsession & challenge....Aprons. I started out with kids ones & now that I know what I am doing I am making Adult sized ones. I have a few nephews that I am going to make tool belts for (I'll post pics once I finish them). Poor Bryan got a bit tired of the sewing mess & my craze so I retired it for a few weeks.

I made these for my sister Allison's girls. I sewed a pocket on the front of each of them to hold Scissors, & Pencils.
The pink Camo ones are for Kels & Linds.

Neighborhood Block Party...

I am FINALLY getting around to posting pictures of our neighborhood block party we had last Tuesday night. We have such great neighbors & it was a blast. It was so much fun!!! We had so much good food & great company! Our neighbor Carolyn had all the food set up in her driveway, we had the whole street barricaded off so that no one could drive down our street & all the kids went wild in the street. We had bikes, scooters & water guns. They all had a BLAST!! Then about 8:30-9 p.m. a fire truck, ambulance & a motorcycle police officer all came. Each of the kids got to go in the fire truck & try on the oxygen masks (Kelsey was too scared to even sit in the truck but she did climb in...ONLY if daddy was right next to her..funny girl.) that they wear & the firefighters gave each kid a fire hat & coloring book. They also all were able to take a tour of the ambulance & the police officer let all the kids sit on the motorcycle. My girls loved the motorcycle...it reminded them of papa LaMar's motorcycle in Arizona. (Sadie was alseep by this point..she was running up & down the street just CRAZY & out of her skull tired....sad that she missed the fun tours though she would have gotten a kick out of all the lights!!)
This is our neighbors little girl & my girls just ADORE her. They are moving to Tuscan & we will really miss them!!

Lindsey sporting her new hat!!!
Lindsey testing out the stretcher....not cool!!! (Just kidding)
Ambulance tour....

Kelsey being scared of the big fire truck...But Daddy was there to tell her she's fine.
Lindsey & the Oxygen mask...She isn't afraid of ANYTHING!!!!
Look at how SOAKED she is...they got in a water gun fight rght before this. It was a VERY humid & hot night.

We are truely blessed to have such great neighbors & friends here in Nebraska. The midwest is different the the west coast. They just do more family stuff & I LOVE it!!!

Misc. Summer activities...

Everyone knows how much I LOVE to do crafts!!! But even more than that I LOVE to spend time with my girls!!! This past month I have started babysitting 3 little girls about the same ages as my girls. So needless to say we need allot of things to do to keep them all busy.
I have started a 'Preschool' program for them. I use the word preschool loosely because they do learn but it is more for fun. On Monday, Wednesday & Friday we do our 'Preschool'. Each day we work on a different letter & with that letter we do a craft that begins with that specific letter. for instance the pictures below are from our letter 'B' day & we made Butterfly puzzles & Bumble Bee Magnets. The girls colored the pictures of the butterfly & then glues it to some construction paper & then cut them out into different shapes. They had so much FUN!!!

Here are the girls trying to put it back together.
Finished puzzle!!!

I couldn't figure out what to use for wings, so we used plastic bags. The girls got a kick out of gluing it all together & figuring out where all the Pieces fit together. We put a close pin on the back so it can hold things while on the fridge.

I will try to post some of our other letter projects.
